Frequently Asked Questions

What groups do you work with?

Some of the groups we work with include:
- The Sharing Place
- Black Men United
- The Royal Men Foundation
- SOL JC
- NJ Harm Reduction Coalition
- Triangle Park Community Center
- The Mary House
- Hudson Pride Center

In addition, there are numerous individuals who take it upon themselves to connect folks with needed items (especially through outreach with unhoused members of our community), and we work with them as well.

I am part of a group that does outreach — how can we become a part of JCMAS?

Send us an email and tell us a little about your group, including what kinds of items you need to distribute, what quantity, and how often. Depending on what kind of work you do or the scale of your operation, you may be asked to provide references or to get on a video call to complete the partnership — but we want this procedure to be as informal and welcoming as possible. You’ll then be added to a list that will receive email updates about what is available once a week, and you can schedule a time to come pick items from our central location. We would love to work with you!

Does my group have to be a non-profit to be part of JCMAS?

No. You don’t need any formal credentials or even an organization; you just need a regular practice of going out and distributing things to people in need.

I want to donate! Can I send you money?

No. We do not accept money at this time. Please do not donate money to anyone saying they represent JCMAS. We currently only accept items that are on our registries and donations of new, unused diapers. They get shipped directly to us and then straight out to people in need.
